ABOUT THE APOSTOLIC RECORD
An Independent Forum for Apologetics, Scripture, History, and Evidence
The Apostolic Record is an independent publication devoted to the examination of biblical, theological, and historical claims through Scripture, primary evidence, responsible scholarship, and disciplined inquiry.
Its purpose is not merely to repeat what has been inherited, traditionally accepted, or institutionally established. It asks what the record actually supports—and whether the conclusions drawn from that record can withstand examination.
The Apostolic Record approaches apologetics as an evidentiary discipline. Scripture is examined in context. Historical claims are tested against the historical record. Competing interpretations are heard and cross-examined. Apparent contradictions demand reconciliation rather than the cancellation of inconvenient witnesses.
The objective is not controversy for its own sake. It is the pursuit of a faith capable of examination.
THE PURPOSE
Faithfulness to the Record
The Apostolic Record exists to investigate, write, publish, and bear witness to what the evidence establishes. Its task is not to manufacture agreement, defend inherited conclusions at all costs, or determine who will ultimately accept what is presented.
The responsibility is simpler and more demanding: examine the record faithfully, follow the evidence wherever it leads, and present the resulting case with sufficient clarity that it can itself be examined.
